This impressive solid walnut table is a rare find from the 18th or early 19th century. The beautiful, hand-worked table top shows a natural patina that has developed over centuries. Even back then, walnut was a noble and sought-after wood, known for its warm colouring and fine grain.

The construction of the table indicates a rural or monastic origin. The slightly outward-slanting legs give it a rustic yet elegant appearance. Tables like this were often used in farmhouses, inns or even monasteries, where they served as work or dining tables. The term "parlour table" only came into use later, as home decor and interior design evolved. Nevertheless, today this antique piece is ideal as a stylish coffee table, side table or eye-catcher in upscale interiors.

The low height could indicate that the table was used with low seating furniture to perform a specific task. Its solid construction guarantees stability and durability.

But today's zeitgeist is increasingly moving away from mass-produced items without soul and spirit and more towards time-honoured, handcrafted objects.

      This is where we come in. Because of their age, our clientele usually wants uncomplicated but timeless furniture. Slim and not bulky. Easy to combine with modern elements. Warm colours and quality material like oak or walnut. We buy our goods according to these aspects. If you like this selection, you should definitely visit us.

      I would like to sell dsa something, how exactly do I manage that?

      You will find all the information you need under the menu item "Purchase". We have to reject most of what is offered to us. We have a certain style that we would like to offer our customers, 90% of the offered goods do not fit into it. But maybe yours does, an enquiry costs nothing and will be answered in any case.

      Do I have to buy the goods if I don't like them?

      No, absolutely not. It is more important to us that you are satisfied. You would have to pay for the return shipment. However, we will organise it for you.

      Can I also reserve something without obligation?

      Of course. You can make a reservation via email, Whatsapp or by phone.

      We would like to rent something for a certain time, is that possible?

      Yes, contact us for this. We often rent to companies that set up film sets or to photographers.
