The base is made of solid beech with a solid cast iron base.

The tables were probably originally custom-made for a clock manufacturer. These tables were probably used to display various watches.

The inlay (the picture) is a print on plastic and can be easily removed if desired. It also has other motifs (including Leonardo di Caprio as the advertising face).
